Get Help Writing a Legal Will in Toronto

Everyone who has children and/or possessions should have a will so that your property is distributed according to your wishes should the unthinkable occur. If you die without a will, your assets will be distributed and debts paid in accordance with the Estate Administration Act, which may not reflect your personal wishes. Having a will in place before it is needed allows you to:

  • Divide your estate in accordance with your wishes
  • Leave items of sentimental or familial value to specific beneficiaries
  • Provide for the needs of step children or a partner to whom you are not married
  • Designate the person or institution you would like to have administer your estate
  • Delay distribution of assets until a designated time or age

A will allows for more flexibility in the administration of your estate and in some cases can even reduce expenses. Please contact us to learn more or to schedule an appointment at our office.
